The Committee for Sydney recently held its End of Year Celebration with NSW Premier The Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP, kindly hosted by Stockland.
The event also saw the Premier launch of the Committee’s latest report, Sydney’s Water Future: Preparing for an Un-Rainy Day. The report takes a close look at Sydney’s historical approach to managing water and encourages policy makers to think of innovative new solutions to help prepare the city for its next water crisis.
The Premier congratulated the committee for being at the forefront of thought leadership in Sydney and paid tribute to outgoing CEO Tim William’s leadership of the Committee as well as his substantial contribution to civic life in the city.
The event was kicked off by an acknowledgement of Country by Biama Nona from the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation, and included short contributions from Stockland Managing Director & CEO Mark Steinert as well as Committee for Sydney Chairman Michael Rose.
The event was attended by over 200 key stakeholders from business, government and the civic sector across Greater Sydney.
